Meet Our Newest Employee, Valerie Guzzo

We are so excited to have Valerie join our team and we want you to know more about her. Below is a Q&A with Valerie - welcome!

What’s your role at Intrepid Marketing Group and what does that look like week to week?

I serve the role as Account Executive for a majority of our sport-related clients. I prepare, organize, and collect a lot of the creative work and promotional material for these clients, whether it be traditional, print, or digital media and ensure that it is placed in the right place at the right time.

Where were you before Intrepid Marketing Group?

I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. I graduated from NC State University in 2017 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. After graduation, I was a graduate intern for the Wolfpack Club for a year.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

I have always been passionate about sports, so I love being behind the scenes for a variety of different sports teams. It’s very cool seeing one of your ads while on the web, watching tv, or listening to the radio and knowing that you’re making an impact!

What are your hobbies?

I love keeping busy - I always enjoy live music or a good concert, watching or attending a sporting event, exploring downtown Raleigh, spending quality time with my family & friends, playing pick-up volleyball, and yoga.

My favorite thing about Raleigh is…..

I have been fortunate enough to live in the great city of Raleigh my entire life. There is so much to do and so many cool areas to visit. Raleigh has it all - multiple shopping centers, a great downtown scene, lots of amazing eating places. I especially love living in a sports town with a lot of passionate sports fans. NC State, Duke, and Carolina are all close by, Raleigh is home to the Carolina Hurricanes, the Mudcats are a quick drive away - There is a good mix of people with different sporting preferences, which makes all of the rivalries fun and competitive!

My favorite places in Raleigh are….

Carter-Finley Stadium

Downtown Raleigh

Red Hat Amphitheater and Walnut Creek Amphitheater

Lake Johnson

What is your guilty pleasure?

Reality TV & Celebrity Gossip - As ridiculous as they all are, I just can’t get enough of The Bachelor / The Bachelorette / Bachelor in Paradise and Keeping Up With The Kardashians!
