Meet the Interns: Janet Haver

My name is Janet Haver, and I’m a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. I’ll be graduating this coming May with a bachelor’s degree in Media and Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. This semester at Intrepid, I am eager for the opportunity to expand my experience in an agency setting, especially learning the importance of client relations. Additionally, I am excited for the chance to learn more about the world of sports advertising and marketing. My dream job would be to work in public relations for the Carolina Panthers.

I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, the youngest of four girls. For as long as I can remember, my dad and I spent Sunday afternoons in Bank of America Stadium cheering on our favorite team – the Panthers. I have always been, and always will be, wearing my black and blue on Sundays and rooting for my team!

In my free time, I enjoy baking, watching Netflix, exploring new restaurants around the Chapel Hill/Durham/Raleigh area and watching UNC sports. I’m always looking for recommendations for new Mexican food restaurants! I also take any chance I have to visit home to see my puppy, Rudy.
